REASONS WHY MOST STUDENTS FAIL JAMB EXAMINATION

02:31

This report is on why Most Students Fail Jamb. So, I encourage you to read from beginning to the end to enable scale over and come out in flying colours for this year’s JAMB 2016 examination.
I think by this time next week it will be over for Jamb Exam 2016.
Most students find it very hard to pass Jamb, These Are the Major Reasons That Lead to Their failure:

1. They distance themselves away from God:
In everything you want to do, you put God first because you’ll definite not succed!
With God everything is made possible!
It is a pity that some student do not care about their prayer life, but this period, my dear, you need to you have to move more closer to God to pass your exams.

2. Poor Reading Culture:
Most students take reading as a very tough task which in actual sense, it is not, reading is the simplest task on earth, the main thing is just to take away all distractions when reading and preparing for an exam most especially JAMB examination. One thing is some students complicate issues for themselves and has the habit not reading in line with JAMB scope. You cannot prepare for JAMB the way you prepared for your WAEC.
For example, when you are preparing for JAMB on subject like chemistry on the topic periodic table, there is no need for you to read the definition of periodic table again, JAMB will not ask you to fill in the gap for definition, just read on key points. JAMB question is objective and subjective questions.
3. Writing in unequipped centers:
I think last year, there were cases of bad monitors and mouse for the CBT exam  which led so many to failure, things like that Should not be happening. The appropriate authority should look into this and make amendments.

4. Lack of self reliance:
Yes. These days, many candidates of JAMB examination try to sort themselves out through what they call “RUNS”. If you head to the internet, you will see many sites advertising for student to pay a particular amount, so they can make it in their JAMB exam.
Remember this cannot help you situation in any way, go and read!
95% of these sites are owned and operated by scammers who are hungry to rip you off your hard earned money. They are fraudsters; even those that seem true will fail you on that day! So, do not patronize or rely on anyone to pass your JAMB exam. Have that confidence in you that you can make it.

5. Too much concentration on a particular subject:
Many students focus on one subject thinking they can earn high mark reading it. JAMB exam  is not a subject based exam, even if you score 100% in the subject there is a possibility of you failing the exam. Therefore, when you are preparing for JAMB exam,, go through all your subjects.

6. Late Preparation:
An adage says "if you fail to prepare, you've prepared to fail."
I do not think a student preparing for JAMB should be the type that will start his / her reading now, this is time for revision, you ought to have read a long time ago, remember that JAMB is not a school exam, it is an external exam.

7. Poor Time Management:
Get it right, there is a difference between these three phrase:
“ I know book”
“ I am brilliant”
“ I am fast”
Remember, this is C.B.T. [Computer Base Test]. If you are brilliant and you are slow, I can bet it with you that you will definitely not make it, you must be as fast as a rocket to pass JAMB

8. Too much attention on past questions:
There is no doubt that JAMB still repeat questions but not the way it was then. For instance, If JAMB ask you to name 4 halogens last year, this year it will be "Which family does iodine belong to in the periodic table. You see?
So, if you are preparing for JAMB eaxmination, check a question and read on the topic it belongs to.

9. Poor parental care:
Imagine when you have JAMB exam but you do not have time to read all because you are in the street hawking from 7 am-10pm. This is bad, this is the best time for your parents/guardian should allow you rest and prepare adequately for your exam.
On a concluding note, may I use this medium and advice all JAMBITES to be studious and success will surely smile on them at the long run.
Good luck to you all!!
